Welcome to our home page. Although this is a business, many of these pages are geared towards friends and family with a lot of photos. Enjoy your time poking around!

Dessia Miller is the owner/trainer and sole proprietor of AES and with the support of friends and family, the small training and breeding operation is reaching its goals.

Dessia's motto, for both horse and rider, is "Training for Pleasure". With unlimited patience and a great love of the horse, Dessia can successfully teach the horse to work with their human partner in harmony.  Dessia firmly believes that riding should be a pleasure for both horse and rider .... always.

With a history of many hours spent in the saddle or in the cart, learning from many horses and accomplished horse people, Dessia now takes these skills and applies them for the benefit of the clients of Amberlea Equestrian Services.

Dessia has developed young horses and riders of all levels from competing at schooling shows to winning at Regional level.  The excellent show ring record of Amberlea Equestrian Services' horses demonstrates Dessia's skill in developing horses in Hunter Pleasure, Country Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Show Hack, Pleasure Driving, Competitive Trail and the Walk/Trot Divisions.

Since 2006 the focus of Amberlea has turned to Endurance and CTR with many of the Ontario events having many horses and riders brought to the sport through Amberlea. Dessia has coached and trained one of the North American Young Rider's Endurance Ride's Silver Medal winners, Lee Hutten and her mount I Bee Jazzin. This young rider has also completed 3 FEI 2* rides and her first 100 mile ride.

At Amberlea Equestrian Services, quality will always outweigh quantity.  At any point in time, there will be a maximum of eight (8) training horses and group lessons will have a maximum of three (3) students per group. Horses and riders will be exposed to as much as possible in the arena and down the trails to ensure that a superior level of confidence is reached by both horse and rider, that they continue to improve and enjoy ‘horsing around? for many years.
