Summer Day Camps

What better way for your child to spend a week of summer vacation - than with a horse and a bunch of youth with similar interests. At AES, Dessia will guide your child through the joys of horsemanship, daily care, nutrition, handling and of course riding!

More details are being worked on.

Dates: July 7 - 11 & August 18 - 22, 2003

Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (early drop off and/or late pickup can be arranged)

Place: AES, Station Lane, Northfield Station

Fees: $250 per youth per week, 10% discount if booking both weeks. Maximum of 10 participants per week. Ages 8 - 18.

Each day a topic will be discussed on horse care, horse handling, competing or pleasure riding, the different styles of riding and riding etiquette.  There will be a visit by a farrier and a vet during the week.

Crafts, fun games, stable & tack maintenance (the work can be fun too!) will all be included in the day.
If the weather is miserable, then riding will be in the arena, focusing on balance, control and working with your horse, either in the saddle or on the ground.

If the weather is great, then the goal is to get out on the trails at least once to truly enjoy nature, fresh air and the very best way to truly have fun with your horse.
