Cryztal is a definite keeper unless someone comes along that likes her as much as we do and is willing to offer more than we can refuse!

Day 1

out for first time

Cryztal is Chanel's 3rd foal and first by Charlie. She is unfolding into an exquisite little lady and we have "high" hopes for her. She has the prettiest trot and look about her, she is poetry in motion.
Chanel started dripping milk the Thursday evening and we hung around for a couple hours waiting to see if anything more would develop. Dessia had to go home and look after her horses, Mary had her grandson's hockey game to go to, so Sue was left to man the fort. She checked hourly and no baby, just Chanel demanding food every time the lights went on! Mary continued to check on her until midnight, then just had to get some sleep and when Sue was out at 5:00 am, there was Cryztal, up and cute as a button.

lots of unfolding to do

Like many of Charlie's foals, Cryztal was way down on her long pasterns, but within a couple weeks was practically right up and unfolding into a beautiful foal. She looks like she will be taller than her dam (14.2) and definitely leggier. Chanel's sire has a show record a mile long as a Show Hack, Country English Pleasure, Hunter and Side Saddle horse. Granted has numerous Regional and National titles in these divisions. Her dam line goes to *Boltonka, twice US National Top 10 in Park and Reserve National Champion Mare.
