We are very excited to offer a select group of Pure Polish horse from Magness Arabians for sale.  These are high quality, extremely well bred and athletic horses. They will make fantastic show horses, endurance or pleasure prospects and a definite compliment to any breeding program.

This year there are several additions to the list and all the three year old mares SOLD except for Primmrose. Three of the colts were gelded this fall (2006) and are ready to start under saddle.

There are lots of horses listed here, please scroll all the way through to see them all! Eventually they will each have their own page with photos, pedigree and information. There is not one "bad" horse in the group and they are extremely athletic, have great movement and consistent great legs and feet. They are bred to perform in highly demanding sports such as racing, endurance, reining and dressage, where heart, agility and intelligence are required.

All horses are offered at Private Treaty with their prices between $2000 and $12,000 Canadian, with most well under the $10,000 price. We are open to all reasonable offers with generous terms. Call ahead to visit, we want to be sure to be home!

Aladdinness (*Aladdinn x *Engana) herself blesses our fields and her legacy is sprinkled amongst our horses through her daughters and granddaughters. She was one of the Matriarch dams of Magness and one of the last mares they decided to part with. At 23 years of age, she is still magnificent and fertile. Her sire, *Aladdinn is world famous for his accomplishments in both the show ring and the breeding shed. He is a leading living legend and has had a major impact on the Arabian breed. Her dam, Canadian import  *Engana, is the daughter of European Champion Engano who's sire, Eleuzis, was a Canadian National Champion Halter Stallion. From the very best in conformation and racing lines, she is a lovely mare producing halter and performance stars.
Cable Cowboy (*Bandos x *Fantastka by Palas) was a Champion Halter stallion and a Liberty winner. He was broke to ride and would have made a beautiful western pleasure horse, but Magness decided to keep him home and use him strictly as a breeding stallion. They felt he was much too valuable to be hauling around to shows and would leave that up to his offspring.

Quoted from Magness website:

"Cable Cowboy is the epitome of the Saklawi stallion -- a very successful representative of the Diamond cross of Bandos/ Palas. Cable Cowboy is one of the last sons of the immortal Bandos. Cable Cowboy's dam, Fantastka, was the 1985 Polish National Champion Mare. Cable Cowboy has proven himself as a valuable progenitor of the Ibrahim sire line for Magness Arabian Farms through a number of his outstanding get. The best of Cable Cowboys's offspring to date is DAPPAR COWBOY -- a winner in Scottsdale and at the National level as Amateur Owner Western Pleasure Horse."

Palas (Aswan x Panel) The truly great influence of the Saklawi I line came when Palas was imported from Russia in 1972. He was by Aswan, the gift horse from Egypt, and out of the Nil daughter Panel which made him three quarter egyptian. Aswan was a gift from the egyptian government to Russia as a "thank you" for the help building the Aswan dam (hence the name change from Raafat to Aswan). The russians were first reluctant to use him as he was incorrect and didn't have any race record to talk about. As he was a gift between states and so that no offence would be given he was bred to a few mares. The foals were outstanding and far more correct than their sire and he was permanently installed as chief sire at Tersk.

Palas was a tremendous success as a sire and a perfect outcross as he was hardly related to any of the polish mares. His dam line Selma is represented in Poland but it is very scarce and present mainly through the descendants of *Pietuszok who was a full brother to Panel's dam Platina. The other mares of this dam line who were imported are Sardhana 1924 (Nureddin II x Selima, imp 1928 from Crabbet, Zlota Iwa and Rokiczana traces to her), Potencja imp from Russia in 1956 (full sister to *Pietuszok and Platina) and Tiwiriada imp from Russia in 1968 (her dam was maternal sister to *Pietuszok and Platina). Neither one of these branches are large but have left some quality individuals.

Palas himself was described by Andrzej Krzysztalowicz: " He had a hollow back, rounded croup, short neck and decent yet not impressive movement. His refined, lean head boasted a very good eye. Generally speaking, he was a very dry horse whose weak hocks were his only deficiency". He sired many sons as well as daughters who has been used all over the world. He combined very well with the Negatiw daughters and this created the polish "golden cross".

*Gondolier (Palas x Gonagra) is Magness Arabians pride and joy. It took an incredible amount of money to bring him and his care taker, Tomaz, to America, but well worth it. *Gondolier was the 1982 European and World Champion stallion and undefeated in Class A Halter in the US. *Gondolier was the first son of Palas to be used at stud in Poland. Because of his chestnut colour he was used sparingly, but three of his daughters were retained. His daughter *Nefretete was exp US but was later imported to Sweden. His sons Pedant exp Belgium and *Czarnolas exp US have been used at stud. *Gondolier himself was exported to US through Sweden. In the US he has sired athletic beauties winning at all levels in Halter, Park, English, Country, Western, Reining, Hunter, Jumper, Trail and Dressage. His daughters are well sought after
Gondoliero (*Gondolier x Aladdinness) is the son chosen to replace his sire, *Gondolier. Gondoliero is out of the *Aladdinn daughter Aladdinness, who was a Halter Champion and prominent  broodmare. Gondoliero was shown in Stallion halter and is a Champion. Plans were to show him to National levels in Western Pleasure, but it was determined that he was too valuable as a breeding stallion to take the risk of travel and showing. His foals have excelled in the breeding shed, on the race track, in reining, western pleasure, dressage and endurance. Extremely athletic, beautiful and correct - his traits are valued in any pedigree.
AH Gallant (*El Paso x *Gonina) is represented by a colt and filly in our herd. AH Gallant is a winner on the track as well as a US National Champion Top 10 Halter Stallion and winner at Scottsdale. He is a substantial horse and sire, being of the golden cross of Czort and Bandos lines. Beauty, strength and agility prevails in this cross and shows in AH Gallant and his offspring.
The Polish stallion, Alkazar (*El Paso x Algeria by Celebes) is represented by two of the young horses. Alkazar is a Polish Kabaret Stakes winner and 2 time 3rd place winner in the Polish National Championship Show, Alkazar, who was also a leading sire in Poland before being imported to the US. Alkazar is siring top race horses abroad and in the US. He is by *El Paso, US National Champion Stallion and out of the Polish National Champion Mare, Algeria. He only has a limited number of foals in North America and none in Canada, except for Prozak and his paternal sister, Algebra Two.
These next horse has an incredible pedigree starting with his dam, Czelseas Pony (*Gondolier x *Czarnuszka by Gwarny). Czelseas Pony is an exquisite daughter of *Gondolier, who  is perhaps the most successful son of Palas. In 1980 he become Polish National Champion Stallion. He later went on to become World Champion Stallion in Salon du Cheval and a very successful sire in the US. Many of his offspring are National and Regional winners in Reining, Western Pleasure, Cutting, Dressage, Hunter Pleasure, Park, Trail, Show Hack, Country English Pleasure and Halter. He is the sire and grandsire of incredibly athletic horses in the true Polish tradition. Czelseas Pony is not very big herself, but has been bred to the "great" horses of the breed, Monagramm and Wojslaw to compliment her beautiful conformation, which she has passed on to her foals.

Tomaz of Magness wrote: "Czeslaw is a special colt as he is out of Czelsas Pony. This is a very good line in Polish breeding. Czelsas Pony is a beautiful mare with pretty head, big eys and nice dished face. She is bay and her full sister Czarmane is very fleabitten gray !
The mather Czarnuszka is by Gwarny one of two Amurath Sahib sons in Polish breeding. Amurath Sahib was a stallion who sired only very few mares, like 5 or 6. and every one got to be a superior producer. One of them, Balalajka was a dam of Bandola and Bask. Czarnuszka was imported by us from Poland, as well as her dam Czapelka out of Czrowna by Comet. This is very strong and good line. They only think they are little small, but Arabians should be great, not big, in my mind."

Embeliera
(Gondoliero x Emenem by Cable Cowboy)

Chestnut Filly
$3000 - OBO

This foal is a first for Zacoban Arabians from the great breeding program of Magness Arabians in Colorado. The foal will have two lines to Polish & World Champion Stallion, *Gondolier as well as *Bandos, Palas three times and *Aladdinn. A solid and true cross, this foal is exceptional.

Gondoliero added leg and shortened up Emenem somewhat. The filly has a beautiful short head, tiny ears and a teacup muzzle. She is affectionate and can trot amazingly well with flipped up tail. A very very lovely filly.

We have three daughters of the Negatraz son, A Wish SFF out of the *Aladdinn daughter, GF Sabreena (Western Pleasure Champion). A Wish is a Class A Halter Champion himself and has sired several Halter champions and a Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse winner. Negatraz was one of *Bask's most successful sons and ranked 5th as the sire of National winner amongst *Bask's sons. He was considered by Michalow State Stud past Director, Ignacey Jaworowske, to be the best bay, pure polish, breeding son of *Bask and his blood was brought back to Poland through his son Monogram. Negatraz is very proponent and comes through strongly to these granddaughters. These mares are likely the "best" in this group of horses.
